One of the worst things you can experience in Dying Light 2 is having your weapon shatter while fighting a horde of infected. Weapons are plentiful in this game, but you may come across one that you don’t want to discard, leaving you wondering how to repair it before it breaks. Many people are asking themselves this question, and the answer may disappoint you. Here’s a guide to help players repair weapons in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
How to Repair Weapons in Dying Light 2
In Dying Light 2, there is no way to repair weapons directly. Installing mods, on the other hand, can be used as a workaround for this issue.
Each time you install a weapon mod, it increases the weapon’s durability by 50%. You can make the most of this by using mods like repair kits and putting them on your weapons when the durability is low.
That means that if you find a weapon you like, you’ll want to modify it to improve its durability. Otherwise, the weapon will break and you’ll have to replace it.
Mods can be found and crafted, purchased from the Craftmaster in the Bazaar, and received as quest rewards.
Simply open your inventory, choose a weapon with sockets, and choose an available mod from the menu. The “weapon repair +50 durability” effect is visible beneath the mod stats.
That’s it; in Dying Light 2, that’s the only way to repair weapons. If we come across another ingenious way to fix things, we’ll let you know.
But, for the time being, stock up on mods while you can, especially if you come across a high-damage or rare weapon that you want to keep. Don’t forget to check out our other gaming guides. By the way, Dying Light 2 is available on Steam.
